Our Story

Crest Motor Sales started as a sole proprietorship in the 60's by John Lacy. He built the dealership with integrity and to serve his customers with honesty.

John Lacy's relationship began with Kevin by helping him get his first car, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird. Over the years, John and Kevin's relationship grew with like interests - their love for cars. As John learned his health was diminishing, he called upon Kevin to help him run the business and groom him on becoming a small business owner. Though the last years of Lacy's life, he shared everything he could about the car business to Kevin. After John lost his fight to cancer, Kevin was just filing papers to start his very own business.

Out of respect to Lacy for all that he taught him about the car business, it was no question to Kevin that he would continue the Crest Motor Sales name in Springfield. As Kevin became a business owner, inorporating Crest Motor Sales, his team grew. Kevin's wife, Diana, joined the team to take on the office duties and finances. Within the first 5 years of business, Crest Motors started to take off allowing Kevin to build a new facility off one of Springfield's busiest roadways, Clearlake Avenue, from its current location off the corner of Cook and Martin Luther King.

Today, the name of Crest Motor Sales has been selling affordable and dependable vehicles and motors for over 50 years!
